In short hiking routes
From Ovacik to Faralya (Butterfly valley)
The starting point of this beautiful walk is just outside Hisaronu. Just at the beginning of the old Lycian road. This trail is located on the southern slopes of Mount Babadag with its 1975 meter summit. After several kilometers through ancient woodland unfolds a panorama of the deep blue and turquoise bay of Oludeniz. At 800 meters there is a plateau; an excellent place for a picnic. From this plateau you have an excellent view of the valley with many rare bird species. Then passing the village Kozagac and in between limestone walls you will continue on through small fields to Kirme. Then a descent to an old water mill and you will come to the butterfly valley. A real beautiful valley; with stunning views and scenery. Here you will be picked up by the bus to go back to Fethiye.
Length of the walk: 14.5 km.
Duration of the walk: 5/6 hours.
Afkule - Fethiye
You will be brought to the start of this walk by car; an old mine road, used by the French until the 60s of the last century for the extraction of chromium.

At the end of the route, highly recommended, take your time for a delicious authentic lunch with all kinds of local products.
