The trip will set off in the small village of Dalyan, sandwiched between lake Köycegiz and the Dalyan delta.
Göcek is a picturesque harbour town featuring a wide variety of ambient little cafes and restaurants.
From there you will cycle to the more traditional port of Fethiye with its mountainous surroundings and historic town centre. The route includes regular climbs rewarded with sights of wonderfully nature and landscapes.
Daily distances stretch up to 50 km across undulating terrain, though without any particularly steep or lengthy ascents. Occasional short climbs. Participants are expected to be in good basic health.
Some of the hotels on this holiday are for bed & breakfast only, while others are half board. This means that the first two hotels serve breakfast only and the third and final hotel serves breakfast and dinner. You will need to take care of lunch yourself, but en route you will encounter plenty of distinctive places to eat.
Your overnight stays are at small scale mid-range family hotels, all with a swimming pool or are located near the beach, giving you the opportunity to relax in the water after each day’s cycling.
While you are not required to cycle in groups - this is a self-guided holiday - for safety reasons, you do have to cycle in pairs. A representative from Eye4Cycling will be present and available locally. This representative will also arrange each transport of your luggage from one overnight location to the next one.
